Challenger Field Project

CHALLENGER FIELD PROJECT

We are proud to have one of the largest Challenger teams in the area - Let's Help Them Grow!

We want to make sure the team continues to grow, and they have an optimal place to play ball!

As it is now, if there has been a recent rain, the wheelchairs and other needed devices do not move in the dirt.
We need to build them a turf field.

To do this, we are raising funds and the work is beginning.
Every penny adds up... and all it would take is one large donor to make this dream a reality.

This field will give them a dedicated safe place to play weekly. DLL will also be able to utilize this field on other nights of the week for our Tee Ball programs. As it stands now, DLL maintains numerous fields around Davie County for our players to use as we have outgrown our ballpark. We love that our Little League continues to GROW!

This project is projected, at this time, to be broken out into three phases and completed by 2025:

Phase 1 – Grading, drainage, footer, concrete outfield wall & potentially curbing for field.

Phase 2 – installation of artificial turf field & perimeter fencing.

Phase 3 – field lights

Goal: $500,000

These plans are subject to change based on fundraising, weather and opportunities unforeseen currently. Basically said, with the timing we have to implement this work (Nov-Feb), it limits the amount of work that can be completed in a short time.

This field will have the back stops and netting system, which we now have on the other three fields, in which bricks bought within our brick fundraiser can be placed, in addition to the other three fields.
