WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY STUDY
STUDY OVERVIEW:
- 2 study visits to Innovation Quarter in downtown WS, each 2 hours long (travel accommodations or off-site testing may be provided on request)
- Visits are spaced 4 months apart & scheduled at participant convenience (7 days/week, any time of day)
- Participants complete a set of simple computer and balance tasks at each study visit approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours long
- Participants receive $55 gift card compensation split between the two study visits and all participation time may be used towards community service, national honors society requirements, Crosby Scholars, etc.
CURRENT STUDY REQUIREMENTS:
- Boys ages 13-16 playing a ‘non-contact’ sport (e.g., baseball, track, tennis, golf, swim)
- Participating athletes must have never played hockey/tackle or flag football/lacrosse, (soccer is OK only if they have never performed headers)
· Participating athletes must have no history of concussion
· Participants must schedule a testing appointment prior to or on April 26th, 2024

PLAYERS SHOULD WEAR TENNIS SHOES AS EVALUATIONS ARE INDOORS.
EACH TIME FRAME WILL TAKE 30 MINUTES TO ONE HOUR.
PARENTS MUST BE PRESENT FOR THE PARENT MEETING.
PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY TO CHECK IN AND BE READY.
